Dining Practices for Summer 2020

Dining at '53 Commons

The Class of 1953 Commons now only serves undergraduate students who are granted on-campus housing for the summer term. There is no service for faculty, off-campus students, or other members of the Dartmouth community.

Dining Practices to Keep the Campus Safe

Your safety is important to us. As such, we have put into place the following practices at the dining hall, The Class of 1953 Commons (FoCo), during this time:

New Procedures

  • Guests will tap their ID card for a contactless transaction.
  • Guests will be required to use hand sanitizer after checking-in to the dining hall.
  • Guests will be required to socially distance themselves while in the dining hall.

Food Service

  • The Summer meal plan allows guests three meals per day.
  • If a student is placed in quarantine or isolation housing, Dining will deliver meals.

Cleaning and Food Safety Procedures

  • The dining hall will close between meal periods for cleaning.
  • Dining staff will stay a minimum of six feet away from guests at all times.
  • All dining staff has been trained on serving food safely.
