The William T. Jackson Fund

The William T. Jackson Fund was established by Professor Jackson's family to promote awareness and education about the health benefits of plant-based diets to the student body.

In support of that mission, Dining has collaborated with restaurateurs and invited chefs, who worked with our staff to educate, promote, and create vegan menu items, specialty events, and educational sessions within our program to the Dartmouth community.

Additionally, the William T. Jackson Fund has been utilized to acquire and maintain a hydroponic garden located in 1953 Commons. The vegetables and herbs grown in this garden are harvested and served at one of the food stations to further enhance the program.
